Workshop Approach

I look forward to applying my broad experiences in anthropology, photography, and fieldwork to this summer’s Photographic Workshop in the Rainforest to be held at La Suerté Biological Field Station. Given the spectacular location of the station and the diverse backgrounds of students interested in photography, the course is designed to appeal to anyone with a camera, creative streak, and a love of the outdoors. I endeavor to motivate every participant to take his or her photography to the next level, and to have an unforgettable adventure while doing so. In the end, we will have addressed broad themes connecting photography, tropical ecology, and contemporary conservation and environmental issues. I know firsthand that time spent at La Suerté learning and photographing can be invaluable and tremendously positive, and I aim for this workshop to continue that tradition with such objectives in mind.
